Mullens, West Virginia (WV), a community in Wyoming County, was incorporated as a town in 1912, as a city in 1929, and was named for A. J. Mullins, who owned the land upon which it was built. The incorporated name was inadvertently spelled "Mullens." Mullens developed rapidly in the early 1900s as shops and a terminal for the Virginian Railway opened. Much of the downtown is protected as part of the Mullens Commercial Historic District.
